Each metric card holds a name, a current value with an optional unit (such as $, %, pts, or min), a previous value, and a target. From those four inputs the tool does the maths for you: it calculates the period-over-period trend as a percentage with an up or down arrow, draws a progress bar showing how close you are to target, and rolls everything into a summary bar that counts total KPIs, how many sit at 80% or more of target, how many are trending up, and how many need attention. Pick a colour for each card and the accent, glow, and progress bar all follow it.
When you are ready to share, the same numbers drive three outputs: a full-screen Slideshow mode with autoplay and keyboard navigation for live presenting, a print-ready PDF, and a native PPTX deck (one title slide plus four KPIs per slide) you can drop straight into a board meeting. Everything runs entirely in your browser and is saved to local storage on your own device — your figures are never uploaded to a server, so even sensitive numbers stay private.
If you fill in a previous value, the tool computes the change as (current − previous) ÷ |previous| × 100, rounded to one decimal. A green up-arrow shows when the current value is at or above the previous one, and a red down-arrow when it is below. Leave the previous field blank and the trend simply doesn't appear on that card.
The progress bar shows current value as a percentage of the target you set, capped at 100%. It also feeds the "On Target" stat in the summary bar, which counts every KPI sitting at 80% or more of its target. If you leave the target field empty, the card shows no progress bar.
You can type any short unit such as $, %, pts, or min. A "$" is treated as a prefix (shown before the number), while other units appear after it. Large numbers are abbreviated automatically — values of a million or more become "M", and smaller figures use thousands separators.
