Calculate pro-rata annual, sick, and statutory leave for Australia, UK, US, Canada, Germany, India, Singapore, UAE, and New Zealand. Supports full-time, part-time, and casual employees.
This leave calculator works out how much annual, sick, and statutory leave you have accrued based on your start date, country, and work pattern. It applies the public minimum-entitlement rules for nine jurisdictions โ Australia (NES), the UK, US, Canada, Germany, India, Singapore, UAE, and New Zealand โ and pro-rates everything across your length of service.
It handles full-time, part-time, and casual employees, deducts any leave you have already taken, and can translate your balance into dollar values from your salary. People use it to:
Every calculation runs locally in your browser โ your dates, salary, and saved templates stay on your device and are never uploaded to a server.
The calculator takes the per-year entitlement for your country and accrues it continuously across your length of service. For example, Australia's NES grants 4 weeks (20 days) a year, so after 2.5 years of full-time work you would have accrued about 50 days, less any leave already taken.
Part-time leave scales to your ordinary hours and days. Hours-based countries pro-rate against a 38-hour full-time week, while day-based entitlements (the UK's 5.6 weeks, Germany, New Zealand) scale to your days per week. A 3-day, 20-hour week therefore accrues a fraction of the full-time amount.
No. The figures cover paid annual, sick or personal, and statutory leave only. Public and bank holidays vary by state and region and are not deducted from or added to your annual-leave balance here.
The accrued balance assumes continuous carry-over across your whole service period โ it does not cap or expire leave, except where a statutory ceiling applies (for example India's 30-day maximum accrual and Singapore's 14-day cap). Always check your contract for use-it-or-lose-it rules.
For Australia the tool accrues long service leave at roughly 6.067 weeks per 7 years of service and flags it as payable once you pass the 7-year mark. State rules differ, so treat this as an estimate of your entitlement under the common benchmark.
There is no federal mandate for paid time off. FMLA provides up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave after 12 months of service, and some states require paid leave. Enter your employer's policy in the Company PTO field to model accrued days.
