AI Image Upscaler enlarges low-resolution pictures to 2×, 4×, 8× or any custom pixel size — up to 4K, 8K and beyond — while keeping edges clean and detail sharp. It offers four engines: an ESRGAN-based AI super-resolution model that reconstructs detail, plus classic Lanczos, Bicubic and nearest-neighbour (Pixel Art) resampling, with optional sharpening, contrast, saturation and noise-reduction passes.

Everything runs locally in your browser on an HTML5 Canvas — your images are never uploaded to a server. The Lanczos, Bicubic and Pixel Art modes work entirely offline once the page has loaded; the AI Super-Resolution model is downloaded to your browser on first use and then runs on-device. How to use
  1. Drop an image onto the upload zone, paste it, or click "Choose a File" to browse — JPEG, PNG, WebP, BMP and more.
  2. Pick a scale (2×, 4×, 8× or a custom width/height), or choose a 720p/1080p/4K/8K preset.
  3. Select an algorithm: AI Super-Resolution, Lanczos, Bicubic or Pixel Art.
  4. Tune the sharpness, contrast, saturation and noise-reduction sliders, then choose an export format.
  5. Click "Upscale Now" to process, then "Download" to save the result to your device.

It increases an image's pixel dimensions and tries to keep it looking sharp instead of blurry. The AI Super-Resolution mode uses an ESRGAN-based neural model to reconstruct plausible detail, while the Lanczos, Bicubic and Pixel Art modes use classic resampling maths. Optional sharpening, contrast and noise-reduction passes refine the result.

You can upscale by 2×, 4× or 8×, or set a custom target width and height (with an optional locked aspect ratio). There are also one-click presets for 720p, 1080p, 4K and 8K.

AI Super-Resolution reconstructs detail and is best for photos (the model downloads once on first use). Lanczos gives the highest fidelity but is slower. Bicubic is fast and smooth. Pixel Art uses nearest-neighbour resampling to keep sprite and icon edges crisp.

You can load JPEG, PNG, WebP, BMP and other common image formats. Results can be exported as PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF, BMP or TIFF, with a quality slider for the compressed formats.

You're limited only by your browser's canvas memory. On most desktops 8K output works fine; mobile devices may struggle past 4K, especially with heavy sharpening.
